We are looking for people already located in Dreieich who love to work with children aged 3 months to 19 years in small groups and have a mother tongue level of written and spoken English. As a Learning Center teacher, you will work in close cooperation with the Learning Center Manager and the other teachers. Income varies according to the desired contract of employment and according to the hours taught per month (mini-job positions available).
Tasks and Duties
Teaching Responsibilities:
As a Helen Doron English teacher, you could teach around 1-5 hours per week, depending on your flexibility and classroom experience. At Helen Doron, we offer a wide range of specialized English courses organized by ability and age ranging from 3 months to 19 years. Usually, each group is taught once a week, and each lesson lasts between 45 and 90 minutes. Using Helen Doron’s unique methodology and teaching material provided by each learning center, you will teach your groups actively in English through music, play, and fun. German is required to communicate with parents before and after lessons to discuss students‘ progress.
In order to teach Helen Doron Teen English, you will require experience teaching various grammar and writing skills in a creative and fun way, while helping students achieve great grades at school.
Qualifications and Skills
Requirements:
- Excellent standard of English: Written and spoken, similar to mother-tongue level, and able to teach English grammar and writing skills. German B1+ would also be beneficial.
- Candidates should already be located near Dreieich due to travel circumstances.
- Qualifications to teach English are preferred (e.g., CELTA, TEFL, Degree in Education or English).
- Candidates must be able to work any afternoon and Saturdays.
